As I read about the upcoming pro abortion march this weekend, a name surfaced of a professor from the Jesuit run Marquette University (Catholic) who is marching for abortion rights.
Dr. Daniel Maquire (S.T.D., Gregorian University, Rome, 1969), is the author of Sacred Rights: The Case for Contraception and Abortion in World Religions,(Oxford University Press, 2003).
Of his many honors, he was listed by Ms. Magazine as one of the "40 male heroes of the past decade, men who took chances and made a difference", 1982
Contact him atdaniel.maguire@marquette.edu

PADRE POINT: PERHAPS DANNY BOY SHOULD MARCH OFF THE CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY OF MARQUETTE!!! Honored by Ms. Magazine? Hey, it was just about a year ago when Bayview high school (local catholic high school) honored the publisher of that same magazine in our Cathedral in Providence! Starting to get the sense that the word, 'catholic' isn't being applied properly to some institutions???
