"Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony, who met with Kerry recently, told the National Catholic Reporter he would not withhold Communion from the presidential candidate.
"It is up to the communicant to decide whether they are in a state of grace and worthy to receive the Eucharist," Mahony said. "I'm puzzled by people rattling sanctions at the moment. That has not been our tradition over the years."
Padre Point: Yes, people, like other Bishops, are rattling sanctions because certain Excellencies and Eminences have failed miserably as Shepherds and over 44 million unborn children are now dead. It also wasn't the tradition to have zero tolerance but rather cover up and be silent...it's the same issue all over again, a serious crime and no action taken, all talk! May I humbly suggest all Shepherds take the book of Ezekiel to prayer.
