"In her recent column ("Planned Parenthood is pro-life," Commentary, July 1), Miriam Inocencio maintains that Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, has always embraced a culture of life that celebrates the rich diversity of the human family and sees all human beings as deserving of an equal place at life's table -- "regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual preference, ability, or socio-economic status."
The discerning reader will notice that one crucial category was conveniently left off that list: age. One who is truly pro-life believes that human beings of every age -- from conception until natural death -- deserve the opportunity to sit at the table of life with the rest of us."
