"...Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda minister, claimed that "if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." For a short period, Hitler and Goebbels were tragically correct as they used their lies to debase the Jewish people and eventually to murder over 6 million Jews in the maniacal genocide that was the Holocaust. Lies that are used to promote ideological propaganda can clearly have a catastrophic effect upon a culture. Nazi Germany demonstrated this fact.
Yet Miriam Inocencio (Planned Parenthood RI) uses the same approach when she asserts that Planned Parenthood is part of the authentic culture of life in America. Repeat this lie and maybe Rhode Islanders and others will begin to believe it and support Planned Parenthood's anti-life agenda. However, it is a falsehood to suggest that one of the leading providers of abortion is creating a culture of life, and not destroying it.
The direct and deliberate destruction of human life, especially the innocent life of an unborn child, can never be equated with a culture that values and respects human life. To suggest otherwise is merely propaganda. The lies advanced by the likes of Goebbels were sadly believed by many who were manipulated by Nazi propaganda. Thankfully, Goebbels's falsehoods were exposed and Nazi propaganda was revealed as the big lie it truly was. Rhode Islanders should not fall for the same tactic now advanced by Miriam Inocencio and Planned Parenthood.
